OKKO is an Izakaya-style restaurant located on the vibrant Broadway Market, in East London. The food they serve is a Japanese-inspired fusion of Pacific cuisines with an innovative and fresh approach to tradition. The restaurant philosophy and cuisine are built on pairs of opposites, which creates its distinct duality. That’s where the new identity came to life, embracing a delicate and lightly shaded visual language that picks on traditional Japanese calligraphy with a fresh and playful touch. Every brush stroke has been drawn individually and reminds of a different ingredient in staple dishes of Japanese cuisine. Whilst the print material is very tactile and delicate to celebrate the interior of the restaurant, the digital language and photographic style remain bold and simple.
